I've been fortunate enough to have had some great experiences over the last couple of weeks which provided joy and comfort through time spent with other people.
Given my usual m.o., t's unusual, but I am thankful for it nonetheless. A camping/biking trip, a meal at a local barbecue ranch, a phone conversation... so many things have been happening of late that could actually be said to be making me... what is this? H... ha... happy? C... content? Hmph. Strange. So that's what it feels like.
The fact that such quality, good natured people have allowed me to become part of their life is humbling, and I thank them for it and try to show appreciation where and when I can.
I've heard it said that you can 'know' someone by the friends they keep. I'm in good company and can only hope that my own nature reflects just a portion of how great I believe my friends are.
